Open the app, tap the New tab, pick your city, set the dates, and choose a style. Tap "Generate Guide" — your guide will appear in the Library tab in 30–60 seconds.
Free includes 2 lifetime guides up to 4 days each. Premium unlocks unlimited lifetime guides, 7-day trips, refining existing guides, Apple/Google Maps export, and priority generation, with a daily cap of 7 generations.
Yes — premium subscribers can generate up to 7 guides per day. Each guide costs us money to produce (AI inference + place data enrichment), so the cap keeps the service sustainable. The counter resets at midnight UTC, and you can check your current usage in Settings → Kumquat Premium card. The free tier's 2-guide lifetime allowance usually runs out long before any daily cap matters.
Hitting the cap doesn't lock you out of guides you've already generated — you can still read, edit, and share them. The limit only applies to creating new ones.
Yes. Once a guide is generated, it's saved on your device. You can read it, mark places as visited, and view the map cache offline. New guides require a connection (the AI generation runs on our backend).
Kumquat is built on AI. Place names and locations are usually accurate, but hours, prices, and availability change frequently. Always verify before you go, and reserve ahead for must-do places. We pull photos and ratings from Google Places to keep details fresh.
Tap the place to open its detail sheet — the map there comes from Google's authoritative coordinate. You can also tap "Open in Google Maps" for the most accurate routing. If you find a place that's consistently wrong, email us with the city and place name and we'll improve it.
Yes. Tap any place to open its detail sheet, then "Move to another day…" to reassign it. You can also tap "Add custom place" at the bottom of any day to insert your own spot. Pick which option in each slot is your favorite using the radio button on the left of each card.
iOS Settings → tap your name at the top → Subscriptions → Kumquat → Cancel Subscription. Apple handles all billing — we don't see your payment information.
Apple manages all in-app purchase refunds. Visit reportaproblem.apple.com and select the Kumquat purchase. We can't issue refunds directly because we never receive your payment.
Sign in to the same Apple ID you used to subscribe, install Kumquat, open Settings inside the app, and tap "Restore Purchases". Your subscription will reactivate.
Deleted guides can't be recovered — they're removed from your device and our servers. You can re-generate it in the New tab; the AI will produce a fresh plan (it may differ slightly each run).
We don't collect your name, email, or location. Your guides live on your device. See the Privacy Policy for details.
